Epidural &  Facet Injections

We perform a variety of diagnostc and therapeutic nerve blocks and injections using high resolution fluroscopic x-ray guidance for precision and accuracy to target the potential pain source. These diagnostic outpatient procedures help pinpoint and confirm the source of the pain. In addition, thier therapeutic action can aid in rapid pain reduction and are an essential part of a comprehensive pain management program,

Epidural Steroid Injection

Epidural steroid injections or ESI is commonly performed to relieve pain in the back or neck caused by a herniated discs or spinal stenosis. The "steroid" or cortisone is an anti-inflammatory substance injected around an inflamed or irritated nerve and will usually decrease the inflammation and pain within 24-48hours. There are many approaches to deliver the medication depending on what area, cervical, thoracic, or lumbar is involved.
